The bridge which spans the New Mill Dike also gives its name to the local area. The O.S. map also names the nearby footbridge over the River Holme as being "Mytholm Bridge".

LUKE LANE (Thongsbridge). Mytholm Bridge. Single span segmental arched bridge over New Mill Dike. Early C19. Hammer dressed stone. String course at base of parapet. Original parapets and coping have been added-to to form stone, flat parapet with triangular copings.
