Mirfield and Huddersfield District Banking Company
The Mirfield & Huddersfield District Banking Company was floated as a joint stock company in 1832 but traced its roots back to a family banking business established circa 1800 by the Wilson family of Mirfield.
It was amalgamated with the Dewsbury firm Hague, Cook & Wormald (est. 1818) in May 1836 to form the West Riding Union Banking Company.[1]
