Milestone (WHR.H4), Woodhead Road, Honley

A surviving milestone on the former Huddersfield and Woodhead Turnpike Road.

Although now extremely worn and partly buried by the pavement, according to the 1854 O.S. map it reads "HUDDERSFIELD 4 MILES. WOODHEAD 9½ MILES."
