The Meltham Way is circular walk of around 10 miles.
From the northern-most section clockwise, the route goes via:
- Blackmoorfoot Reservoir
- Crosland Edge
- Bank Wood or Hall Heys Wood
- Honley Woods
- Slate Pit Wood
- Meltham Mills Reservoir
- Meltham Pleasure Grounds
- Royd Edge
- Blackmoorfoot Reservoir Catchwater
- Blackmoorfoot Catchwater Confluence
- Meltham Cop
Some sections of the route, especially around South Crosland, are less well defined and signposted, and several possible routes between Hall Heys Wood and Honley Woods can be taken.
Because of the poor signposting in certain sections, it is worthwhile taking a map and using GPS to pinpoint your current location.
An alternative route though Hall Heys Wood is shown in green.
