- SWAINE, MELLIN. Private. No 21/715. 1/5th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Born Huddersfield. Son of John and Rebecca Swaine of Wall Nook, Cumberworth. Employed by Messrs S. Senior and Sons Limited, brewers, of Shepley. Single. Enlisted 1916. Reported missing, presumed killed, 25.4.1918, aged 22 years. Buried SANCTUARY WOOD CEMETERY, BELGIUM. Grave location:- Plot 3, Row D, Grave 18.
