Loyal "Philanthropic" Lodge No. 215 of the Ancient Noble Order of Oddfellows (Bolton Unity)

The Loyal "Philanthropic" Lodge (No. 215) was initially a lodge of the Ancient Noble Order of Oddfellows (Bolton Unity) believed to have formed in 1851 at the Kayes Arms Inn on Quay Street, Huddersfield.

History

During the year 1857 to 1858, the lodge left the Bolton Unity and became and "formed itself into a separate society". According to the report given at the anniversary dinner held on Easter Tuesday 1858, the income had increased by one-third during the year.[1]
