The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

KAYE, LEWIS. Private. Army Service Corps. (Motor Transport). Born 8 Armitage Buildings, Crosland Moor. Son of William Henry and Ann Megson Kaye, 32 Crosland Street, Crosland Moor. Educated St. Barnabas Church of England School, Crosland Moor. Employed as a textile machine fitter. Married. Died at home on 8.8.1921, at 32 Crosland Street, Crosland Moor, of chronic nephritis and uraemia after discharge on medical grounds. Buried LOCKWOOD CEMETERY.
