Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BUCKLEY, LEONARD. Private. No 14231. 9th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Netherthong. Son of Mr and Mrs R Buckley. Educated at Netherthong Church Day School. Attended Netherthong United Methodist Church. Employed as a tuner by Messrs Vickerman and Sons, Thongsbridge Mills. Enlisted shortly after the outbreak of the war. Wounded whilst repairing telephone wires. Died of wounds, 25.4.1916, aged 25 years. Buried in BAILLEUL COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row D, Grave 156.
