The "Lockwood Brewery," was brought to the hammer on Thursday, at the George Hotel, Huddersfield, by Mr. Thomas Hardwick, of Leeds, by order of the executors of the late Timothy Bentley, Esq. Mr. Bentley Shaw, of Woodfield House, the present manager, was the purchaser for the sum of £8,000. All the other lots were disposed of, and were bought by different branches of the Bentley family.
