The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

JEBSON, LAWRENCE. Gunner. No 127364. 189th Brigade Royal Field Artillery. Born Linthwaite. Son of the late Walter and of Elizabeth Jebson, Bankfield, Linthwaite. Attended Linthwaite Wesleyan Sunday School. Employed as a fettler at Priestroyd Mills, Huddersfield. A keen cricketer. Enlisted 1.1.1916. Embarked for France in April 1916. Died of wounds, 21.3.1918, aged 23 years. Buried ROYE NEW BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Marchelepot Memorial 46.
