Lawrence Alfred Larcombe (1921-1944)

An ongoing project to commemorate and research the lives of those who appear on war memorials and rolls of honour in the local area, who served in the military, or whose deaths were linked to conflict.


Lawrence Alfred Larcombe was born in Stockton, Durham, the son of George Larcombe and his wife Annie Maria (née Thorpe).

By 1939, widowed Annie Maria and her children were living at 23 Diamond Street, Huddersfield.[1]

He was killed in action on 27 June 1944 and is commemorated on the St. Andrew's Church Roll of Honour.
