Thomas H. Whittaker has relinquished the managership of the Metropole, Bootle, Lancashire, to become manager of the Picturedrome, Buxton Road, Huddersfield, where he follows Harry Vernon, who has retired. Before being at Bootle, T. Whittaker had been manager of the Casino Cinema, Manchester, and the Regent, Blackpool. H. Vernon, the doyen of the kinema Trade in Huddersfield, has been a manager in the district for 21 years, and in still earlier days he was associated with a film company which produced pictures at Holmfirth, Huddersfield. He has been manager of the Picturedrome for over 15 years.
