Joshua Eastwood was a Meltham cotton manufacturer.
He was born in 1802, the son of John Eastwood, and baptised 7 November 1802 in Meltham.
The 1851 Census lists him as a "cotton spinner employing 60 males and 48 females", and residing with his brother Edwin Eastwood (1818-?) and nephew James Frederick Eastwood (1828-?)
In May 1855, a public notice was posted dissolving the partnership known as "John Eastwood and Sons" between his brothers Edwin and Joshua, and his widowed sister-in-law Betty.
He died aged 54 and was buried on 22 December 1956 at St. Bartholomew, Meltham.
