Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

O'HARA, JOSEPH SYKES. Private. No 306345. 2/7th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Son of Mr and Mrs Roger O'Hara, Delves, Lingards, Slaithwaite. Employed by the Colne Valley Spinning Company Limited, Linthwaite. Attended Slaithwaite Roman Catholic Church. Enlisted 16.11.1915. Embarked for France 10.1.1917. Killed in the attack on Bourlon village during the Battle of Cambrai on 27.11.1917, aged 23 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated CAMBRAI MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
