The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SWIFT, JOSEPH, MM. Private. No 30760. 1st Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly No 38059 The Yorkshire Regiment. Born Golcar. Lived in Golcar. Awarded the MM, 28.1.1918. Died of wounds as a Prisoner of War on 3.9.1918. Buried HAUTMONT COMMUNAL CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 4, Row A, Grave 46.
ROH:- St. John's Church, Golcar.
