SWALLOW, JOSEPH. Gunner. No 127577. 207th Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Born Hepworth, Holmfirth. Attended Hepworth Parish Church. Lived with his Uncle, Mr William Senior, at Hilltop, Cumberworth. Brother of Mrs Emily Barker, 48 The Green, Penistone, Sheffield. Employed at Lane End Quarries, Shepley. Killed in action, 1.9.1917, aged 36. Buried CANADA FARM CEMETERY. ELVERDINGHE, BELGIUM. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row G, Grave 31.
