- TURNER, JOSEPH HENRY. Private. No 17935. 9th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Meltham, Huddersfield. Son of Joseph and Julia Turner, 27 New Street, Meltham. Killed in action, 25.4.1917, during the Battle of Arras. He was 20 years of age. Has no known grave. Commemorated ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
