Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CLARKSON, JOSEPH. Rifleman. No C/7629. 13th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps. Born Kirkheaton. Son of Ben and Emma Clarkson, 5 Tandem, Kirkheaton. Was employed by Messrs Rhodes and Brierley, Vale Mills, Kirkheaton. Enlisted 15.11.1915. Embarked for France in July, 1916. Killed in action, 15.11.1916, aged 20 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
