- WILLIAMS, JOHN (JACK). Private. No 26754. 10th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Farnworth, Bolton, 30.3.1898. Son of Elizabeth Williams, 103 Leeds Road, Bradley, Huddersfield. Educated St. Thomas's Church of England School, Bradley. Employed as a patent glazier. Single. Enlisted 8.10.1916. Died of wounds on 20.9.1917 at No 37 Casualty Clearing Station. He was 19 years of age. Buried GODEWAERSVELDE BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row E, Grave 19.
