Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HALL, JOHN WILLIAM. Private. No 24662. 9th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Lived 6 Armitage Street, Primrose Hill. Employed as a painter by Mr H. Booth of Marsh, Huddersfield. Was a member of the Newsome Working Men's Club. Enlisted October 1916. Killed in action, 1.2.1917, aged 34 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
