John William Barrow (1890-1917)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BARROW, JOHN WILLIAM. Private. No 29591. 8th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Lepton. Parents living at Spa Bottom, Lepton. Married. Wife living at 33 Ravensknowle Road, Dalton. Attended St. Helen's Church, Fenay Bridge. Employed by Mr James Tetlow, painter and decorator, of Aspley. Reported wounded and missing at the Battle of Passchendaele 27.8.1917. Has no known grave. Is commemorated on the TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
