John Patrick Barrett (1898-1917)

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- BARRETT, JOHN PATRICK. Private. No 29587. 8th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Dock Street 8.6.1898. Son of Thomas and Alice Barrett, 12 Dock Street, Huddersfield. Attended St. Patrick's School. Worked as a tailor's presser. Enlisted 2.10.1916. Killed in action at Passchendaele, 28.8.1917, aged 19. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
