John Ogilvie Hannah (1888-1918)

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- HANNAH, JOHN OGILVIE. Sergeant. No 204088. 1/7th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born 'The Glen', Innerleithlen, Peebleshire, Scotland, 13.10.1888. Son of Mr Hannah, 'Braemar', 1 Fort Terrace, Bridlington. Educated at 'The Glen', (a Private School). Married. At the time of enlistment, was living at Longley, Huddersfield. Employed as a forester. Enlisted December 1914. Killed in action at Kemmel Hill, 29.4.1918. Has no known grave. Commemorated TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
