McKEAN, JOHN. Corporal. No 25500. 13th Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment. Born Maxwelltown, Dumfries, Scotland, 2.6.1895. Son of John and Pauline McKean, 14 The Avenue, Moldgreen. Educated Huddersfield Parish Church School. Employed as a dyer's finisher by Messrs James Haigh and Sons, dyers and finishers, Colne Road, Huddersfield. Enlisted November 1915. Killed in action, 22.3.1918. Has no known grave. Commemorated ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
