John Kenyon (c.1810-1872)
John Kenyon was a stone miner who resided at Liphill Bank.
Holmfirth Flood of 1852
He assisted with the recovery operation following the 1852 Flood. He assisted in locating or identifying the bodies of:
- Jonathan Crosland — his body had been "washed into the Victoria Mill"
- Joshua Crosland — son of Jonathan, his body was found "at Mr. Sandford’s Mill"
- William Exley — his body was found near Mr. Farrar's mill dam
