- WHITWAM, JOHN HENRY. Private. No 40629. 8th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. Born Golcar. Second son of Henry and Lavinia Whitwam, 88 Swallow Lane, Golcar. Attended Golcar Baptist Chapel. Killed in action, 27.9.1918, aged 35 years. Buried CHAPEL CORNER CEMETERY, SAUCHY-LESTREE. Grave location:- Row C, Grave 10.
- ROH:- Golcar Baptist Chapel; St. John's Church, Golcar.
- Brother of Private ALBERT WILLIAM WHITWAM killed in action, 20.9.1917.
