John Henry Senior (c.1894-1917)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SENIOR, JOHN HENRY. Private. No 53380. 9th Battalion The King's (Liverpool Regiment). Formerly No 242189 East Surrey Regiment. Born Denby Dale. Son of Albert Edward and Nellie Senior of Market Green, Skelmanthorpe. Assisted his father on the family farm and as a butcher. Attended St. Aidan's Church and Sunday School. Enlisted February 1917. Embarked for France in September, 1917. Killed in action, 26.12.1917, aged 23 years. Buried BLEUET FARM CEMETERY, ELVERDINGHE, BELGIUM. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row B, Grave 49.
