Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BROOKE, JOHN. Driver. No 222994. 17th Divisional Ammunition Column, Royal Field Artillery. Son of Mr and Mrs Dan Brooke, of Dunsley, Holmfirth. Husband of Mary Annie Brooke, Sunnyside Cottages, Ford Gate, Holmbridge. Employed at Albion Mills, Thongsbridge. Enlisted 29.3.1917. Killed in action, 25.3.1918, aged 28 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
