Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

PEARSON, JOHN ARTHUR. Private. 1/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born New Street, Paddock 21.5.1893. Son of Ben Allen and Lizetta Pearson, 102 New Street, Paddock. Educated Paddock Church of England School. Employed as a carriage cleaner at Huddersfield railway station by the London and North Western Railway Company. Single. Enlisted 16.12.1914. Died, 7.4.1919, at Storths Hall Asylum, Kirkburton, Huddersfield of 'results of French leave and gas poisoning.'
