The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HAIGH, JOEL. Private. No 3995. 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Huddersfield. Son of Joseph and Sarah Ann Haigh, 7 Riley Street, Damside, Huddersfield. Employed as a tram conductor by the Huddersfield Corporation tramways department. Single. Killed in action, 14.2.1917, aged 33 years. Buried AUCHONVILLERS MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row K, Grave 11.
