Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

MELLOR, JOE. Private. No 29062. 1st Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment. Born Golcar. Son of Mr and Mrs Sam Mellor, New York Farm, Stainland and formerly of Paddock. Employed in the finishing department of Messrs Hirst and Mallinson Limited, Longwood. Died of wounds at No 11 Casualty Clearing Station on 10.10.1917, aged 19 years. Buried GODEWAERSVELDE BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row H, Grave 16.
