Employed as an apprentice by Messrs John Haigh and Sons Limited, engineers, Firth Street, Huddersfield. Enlisted July 1914. Killed in action, n 24.12.1914. Buried RUE-DAVID MILITARY CEMETERY, FLEURBAIX. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row H, Grave 43.
