Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

ROBERTS, JAMES. Private. No 29394. 8th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Huddersfield. Married, with two children. Lived 28 Brier Fold, Birchencliffe, Huddersfield. Employed as a spinner at the Hollins Mill, Marsh. Embarked for France in January, 1917. Died of wounds at No 46 Casualty Clearing Station on 1.9.1917. Buried MENDINGHEM BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 5, Row A, Grave 20.
ROH:- St. Philip's Church, Birchencliffe.
