Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

READSHAW, JAMES ROBERT. Private. No 30178. 8th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. Born Greenhead Road, Huddersfield, 24.5.1897. Son of Mr and Mrs C. E. Readshaw, 105a Storths, Moldgreen, Huddersfield. Educated Paddock Church of England School. Employed as a piecer by Messrs Taylor, Livesey and Company, Paddock Mills. Was a member of the Huddersfield Mission Band. Single. Killed in action, 16.6.1917, 20 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated MENIN GATE MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
