- RAMSDEN, JAMES HENRY (HARRY). Private. No 98790. 237th Company, Machine Gun Corps. Born Linthwaite 11.11.1893. Son of Mrs Ann Ramsden, 51 Thornton Lodge Road, Huddersfield. Educated Linthwaite Board School. Employed as a tram-driver by the Huddersfield Corporation Tramways Department. Was a playing member of the Linthwaite United Amateur Football Club. Single. Enlisted 8.1.1917. Killed in action at Dickebusch, 4.10.1917, aged 33 years. Buried TYNE COT CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 59, Row D, Grave 22.
