Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

WRAY, JAMES EDWARD. Private. No 5058. 1/4th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. Born Longwood, Huddersfield. Eldest son of Mr and Mrs Reuben Whitwam, of Scapegoat Hill, Golcar. Was a member of the Scapegoat Hill Brass Band. Enlisted in May 1916. Had only been in France a short time when he was killed in action on 28.10.1916, aged 38 years. Buried WARLENCOURT BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 7, Row A, Grave 12.
ROH:- St. John's Church, Golcar.
