PAYNE, JAMES EDWARD. Private. No 64955 12th/13th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. Formerly No 205528 East Yorkshire Regiment. Born Huddersfield. Married. Lived 3 Spivey's Yard, Denton Lane, Huddersfield. Employed by Messrs J. Ashton, Riley and Company, Manchester Road, Huddersfield. Died of a fractured leg as a Prisoner of War in a field hospital at Courtrai, 17.4.1918. Buried KORTRIJIK (St. JAN) COMMUNAL CEMETERY. Grave location:- Row C, Grave 45.
