Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

ECCLES, JAMES. Private. No 203657. Depot Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Darwen, Lancashire, 6.10.1896. Son of Richard and Anne Eccles, Molewarp Hall, Huddersfield. Educated at Honley National School. Employed as a labourer. Enlisted May 1916. Died, 14.3.1918, whilst working on munitions at Huddersfield Central Ironworks. Buried EDGERTON CEMETERY, HUDDERSFIELD. Grave location:- 3, 'C', 137.
