Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BOWER, JAMES. Guardsman. No 21039. Coldstream Guards. Born Holmfirth. Son of William Henry and Emily Bower of Gully, Holmfirth. Educated at Holmfirth National School and Underbank Wesleyan School. Employed at Rock Mills. Was a member of Underbank Harriers. Enlisted 16.12.1916. Had been in France for six weeks when he was wounded on 30.11.1917. Died of wounds at No 55 Casualty Clearing Station, 2.12.1917, 19 years. Buried TINCOURT NEW BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 3, Row B, Grave 14.
