Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BAILEY, JAMES. Private. No 30690. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Born 3.7.1897 at 37 York Street, Huddersfield. Son of Mrs Martha Bailey, 3 Dent's Yard, Quay Street. Educated at Huddersfield Parish Church School. Married. Living at 2 Tindall's Yard, Hawk Street, Huddersfield. Employed as a cloth finisher of khaki cloth at the works of Mr Murgatroyd, Leeds Road. Enlisted June, 1916. Embarked for France October, 1916. Killed in action, 2.4.1917. Buried in HENIN COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row C, Grave 22.
