The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- JONES, JACK. Signaller. No 3/22841. 2nd Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Dale Street, Huddersfield, 2.4.1897. Son of Edgar and Frances Jones, 2 South Terrace, South Street, Huddersfield. Educated Moldgreen Council School. Prior to enlistment, was working in London as a joiner. Enlisted June 1916. Died of wounds at No 8 Casualty Clearing Station, Etrun, on 26.3.1918, aged 20. Buried DUISANS BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 5, Row F, Grave 58.
