Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

FOSTER, JACK HERMAN. Private. No 96097. Royal Army Medical Corps, attached 2nd Base Hospital. Born Huddersfield 18.3.1890. Nephew of Mrs Sam Scholes of Rothwell Street, Moldgreen. Lived 17 Cross Grove Street, Huddersfield. Married, with four children. Was a music teacher. Enlisted in the R.A.M.C. in November 1915. Went out to Mesopotamia in January, 1916. Died, 13.7.1916, in Mesopotamia of heat stroke. Buried AMARA WAR CEMETERY, IRAQ. Grave location:- Plot 13, Row J, Grave 5.
