James Collins (c.1876-1915)
An ongoing project to commemorate and research the lives of those who appear on war memorials and rolls of honour in the local area, who served in the military, or whose deaths were linked to conflict.
Biography
James Collins was born in Hull and worked as a chemical labourer.
He is listed in the 1911 Census residing at 1 Riley Street, Damside, Huddersfield, with his wife Lucy (born Derby) and their two daughters: Laura and Edna.[1]
He died aged 39 and was buried in the non-conformist section of Almondbury Cemetery.
