Cooper Bridge Branch Line

The Cooper Bridge Branch Line was the name given in the Huddersfield and Manchester Railway and Canal (Huddersfield Diversion and Cooper Bridge Branch) Act of 1846 to a short curved connecting branch line running northwards from Bradley Junction on the Huddersfield & Manchester Railway.

The curve was opened in January 1852 and provided a second junction with the Manchester & Leeds Railway at Bradley Wood Junction, allowing a route from Huddersfield through to Halifax and the Upper Calder Valley.

By the 1880s, the branch was known as the L&NWR Bradley Wood Branch.
