THE LINTHWAITE MURDER.

A MAN APPREHENDED AT OSSETT.

On Wednesday, there was considerable excitement at Ossett owing to the rumour being circulated that James Stockwell, wanted for the murder of Catherine Dennis, at Linthwaite, on the 28th ult., had been apprehended. It turned out, however, that it was not Stockwell, but a Birstall man who had been apprehended for begging. He is well known, and has been previously before the magistrates. He is still in custody.
