THE DUNGEON MILL DROWNING FATALITY.

After a search extending over four days the body of Maud Ellis (aged eight), daughter of Harry Ellis, employed at the brewery of Messrs. Bentley and Shaw, was recovered from the river Holme at half-past three o'clock on Monday afternoon, at Dungeon Mill. The accident occurred on the afternoon of the previous Thursday, when, as she was returning from school with two companions, the unfortunate girl slipped into the river. Her body was not recovered at the time, and for three four days the efforts to recover it were fruitless. On today however, as stated, the search was successful and her body was found within a short distance of the area where the girl fell in.
