HOLMFIRTH.

EXCURSION TO HOLMFIRTH.

It appears that the interest which appertained to Holmfirth in consequence of the flood, has not completely died away, as on Monday lost about 300 people from Sheffield, visited the valley per special train. Some of the visitors seemed quite disappointed, and others agreeably surprised to find nearly all traces of the flood, comparatively speaking obliterated. The scenery of the valley possessed such great attractions for some of the excursionists that the return train started without them, but how they bore up under this misfortune we cannot say.
