Strange Circumstance.

On Wednesday last, as Mr. Charles Crossley, of Ramsden, was taking a walk somewhere on the moors, his dog hunted up and set upon a large ape of the monkey species. The dog, with the assistance of its master, succeeded in capturing the animal. It is supposed that it has resided in and about the Ramsden Rocks some time, but how it came there we must leave our readers to suggest for themselves, as we are not able to inform them.
