LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.

HOLME RESERVOIR COMMISSIONERS.

The adjourned general meeting of this body was held at Mr. Jacomb’s office, Buxton-road, on Tuesday afternoon last, but as our reporter was not admitted we are ignorant of what took place. A deputation from the committee appointed at a public meeting in Holmfirth, immediately subsequent to the flood, and consisting of Mr. James Charlesworth, Mr. Alfred Wood, Mr. Samuel Wimpenny, and Mr. James Garside, were in attendance respectfully to request that the Holme-styes Reservoir should be repaired in accordance with the report of Mr. Bateman, and that the water be kept at a safe level until such repairs be completed ; but we have not learned the result.
