Huddersfield and Sheffield Junction Railway Company

The Huddersfield and Sheffield Junction Railway Company was incorporated on 30 June 1845 for the purpose of constructing a new railway line from Penistone Station northwards to Huddersfield, with a branch line to Holmfirth.

Shortly after construction began, the company was amalgamated into the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway on 27 July 1846.
